Your reviews are always amazing and some of the most technical on the net, congratulations. I currently have the Rode Wireless Pro, I am very happy with them, however I wanted to take a step forward and was looking for a lavalier mic that had more quality than the Rode. Despite seeing very good comments about the DEITY THEOS, I don't find that the audio quality is exceptional when compared to the Wireless, I see them very similar (even a little below). I only see that DEITY wins in performance. I care a lot about your opinion Curtis, that's why I would like you to tell me that I will notice a jump in quality if I switch to DEITY or Sennheiser 500 G4. I think the RUclips compression on the audio doesn't help me notice that difference. Un saludo desde Barcelona.
In terms of pure audio quality? No, I would NOT expect to hear a night-and-day difference. But there are a lot of features in the THEOS system that work better for more sophisticated workflows (timecode is MUCH more flexible on THEOS than on Wireless Pro.) And, the user replaceable batteries are a huge plus for many pro workflows.
@@curtisjudd You're absolutely right Curtis. I'm not switching to Deity at the moment, but when my Wireless Pro's show signs of wear and tear, I'll opt for a system with interchangeable batteries. Thank you very much.
Definitely heard a difference, a little distortion or clicks in the high frequency of the transmitted recording. I have a Theo’s kit and love it so it’s not a dealbreaker but would be great if this could be fixed.
51:00 If you buy the USA version, from what I understand, the Transmit and Recorded is lock down. Only international version can do transmit and record.
Hello Curtis! I’ve been wondering if you unscrew the antennas partially to reposition them or you just move them. What’s the right way? Thanks in advance!
So how is the DJI mic 2 able to transmit and record simultaneously with the patent? And these can’t? Trying to understand how rode and DJI can legally do this.
First, DJI probably has a lot more money to fight any lawsuits than Zaxcom have. But also, they're not using removable memory, so that helps if they have to make the case in court. There are a lot of nuances and I'm not a lawyer, but hopefully that helps a little.

That's correct.

I just move them.
compressed high end looks almost like mp3 processing? but more frequency dependent
Yes.

@@LearnLightAndSoundSessions ahhhh okay yeah that would make sense thanks
There is a new update v1.6 and 1.3 from 01.3
Did it resolve the problem?
Which problem?
The high frequency oddness we demonstrated in this session. 🙏
